Anti-Circumvention Policy
This policy prohibits users from bypassing Kointent's platform to conduct business discovered through Kointent directly with other users.
1. What Is Circumvention?
Circumvention occurs when an Advertiser and Creator who connected through Kointent conduct transactions, campaigns, or business arrangements outside the platform — thereby avoiding Kointent's fees and escrow protections.
2. Prohibited Actions
- Soliciting or accepting payment outside the Kointent platform for work sourced via Kointent
- Sharing or requesting personal contact information for the purpose of taking business off-platform
- Proposing to pay or be paid at a different rate outside the platform to avoid fees
- Re-engaging a user discovered through Kointent on another marketplace without the platform's consent within 12 months of initial contact
3. Why We Have This Policy
Kointent provides dispute resolution, escrow payment protection, automatic fraud detection, and performance analytics. Circumvention removes these protections from both parties and undermines the platform that enables these connections.
4. Enforcement
- Immediate account suspension pending investigation
- Permanent ban for confirmed circumvention
- Forfeiture of any pending platform balance
- Potential legal action for recovery of lost platform fees in cases of significant circumvention
5. Reporting Circumvention
If another user attempts to take your business off-platform, please report it immediately via the "Dispute" button or email trust@kointent.com. Reporters who act in good faith are protected from retaliation.
6. Exceptions
Parties who were already conducting business together prior to their first Kointent interaction may apply for an exemption by providing documentation to our trust team.
