What is Kointent?
Kointent is a dual-marketplace platform that connects advertisers with publishers and creators. Advertisers can run programmatic ad campaigns on our publisher network, or hire creators directly for branded content collaborations.
How do I get started as an Advertiser?
1. Sign up for an Advertiser account. 2. Deposit funds into your account via card or mobile money. 3. Create a campaign with your budget and targeting. 4. Upload ad creatives (images, videos, or native ads). 5. Submit for review. Once approved, your ads will start running!
What's the difference between CPC and CPM?
CPC (Cost Per Click): You pay only when someone clicks your ad. Good for driving traffic. CPM (Cost Per 1000 Impressions): You pay for every 1,000 times your ad is displayed, regardless of clicks. Good for brand awareness and reach.
How do Creators earn money?
Creators can earn through two main channels: 1. Accepting Gigs: Browse open gigs from advertisers, apply with your pitch, and negotiate terms. Once a gig is accepted and completed, you receive payment via escrow. 2. Custom Hire: Advertisers can also hire you directly through your media kit page.
How do Publishers earn?
Publishers embed an ad widget on their website. When ads are served and generate impressions, clicks, or conversions, publishers earn a commission. You keep 70% of ad revenue while Kointent takes 30%. Higher quality traffic earns better rates.
What payment methods are supported?
We support Paystack for deposits and withdrawals. You can pay via credit/debit cards, mobile money (MTN, Vodafone, AirtelTigo in Ghana), or bank transfers. Minimum withdrawal is typically ₵10 or equivalent.
Is my data secure?
Yes. We use SSL encryption for all data in transit, secure password hashing, and comply with GDPR and CCPA privacy standards. Your payment information is processed securely through trusted payment providers. We never store full credit card details.
How does escrow work for gigs?
Escrow protects both creators and advertisers. When an advertiser accepts a gig: 1. The advertiser's agreed price is held in escrow. 2. The creator delivers the work. 3. The advertiser reviews and approves. 4. The creator receives payment. If there's a dispute, our support team mediates.
